Opacus Thunderbird integration only working for administrato

I have a SuiteCRM instance and I am trying to use the Opacus Thunderbird plugin.
Unfortunately, it only works when I configure the Administrator user credentials in the plugin. If I try with an other user it does not work (when I press the search button it just stalls untill I cancel)
Are there any specific permissions that the user must have for the integration to work?

I'm having the same issue as well. Is there a proposed solution?

This is almost certainly due to user/role configuration in the CRM.
