Calendar Set-Up on Mountain Lion

Post by markpickford » Wed Apr 17, 2013 2:55 pm

Hi,

After months of trying to figure out what was wrong with my set-up for the above I have finally worked out that the set-up instructions on the Opacus website page are wrong.

Following the instructions below gave an error:

Start iCal
1. Go to the Preferences
2. Click on Accounts
3. Click the + (Add) button to add a new CalDAV account
4. Select CalDAV as the Account Type
5. Enter your username (Your SugarCRM username)
6. Enter your password (your Calendar Publish Key)
7. Enter your server address (your SugarCRM instance URL)
8. Click Create.
iCal will begin searching for CalDAV servers. This will fail, this is normal behaviour.
9. After the search has failed, click Continue
10. Enter the following into the server path: /sas/prinicpals/[USERNAME]
where [USERNAME] is your SugarCRM username.
Please note that the username is case sensitive.
11. Click Create.
12. You can now close the Preferences Window and begin using your calendar(s).

So, to get Calendar to work do the following:

Start iCal
1. Go to the Preferences
2. Click on Accounts
3. Click the + (Add) button to add a new CalDAV account
4. Select CalDAV as the Account Type
5. Enter your username (Your SugarCRM username)
6. Enter your password (your Calendar Publish Key)
7. Enter your server address (your SugarCRM instance URL) e.g. http://sugarurl.co.uk/sas/prinicpals/sugarusername
8. Click Create.

Worked first time for me and I hope this helps someone else.

Kind regards,

Mark
